Note on Wife: Mary Flindell
Will of Mary Pembroke of St Albans in the County of Hertford Widow, of uncertain health, 29 Aug 1719. To son Thomas Pembroke for ever my messuage or tenement in the Wheat Market in St Albans together with the slip of ground or close thereto belonging now in the tenure of Joshua Pembroke, William Aldin, Benjamin Lawrence, Thomas Ivery and two more; Thomas to pay the legacies hereinafter bequeathed; to son Joshua Pembroke £10 and to his wife my chest of drawers, to his son George two guineas to Ann two guineas and my two silver salts and to Katherine two guineas and my six teaspoons, and to my son Joshua's wife my gold chain; to my grandson William Pembroke £5; to my granddaughter Mary Pembroke £10 to be kept by son Thomas Pembroke until she reaches age 21; to son Nathaniel Pembroke £5; to grandson Nathaniel Pembroke £10 to be kept by son Thomas Pembroke and improved for him until he comes of age; rest of goods and chattels to son Thomas Pembroke, sole exec.
