The elder children (i.e. those baptised in Windlesham or Chertsey) are not mentioned in James's will. They are believed to be also his children but the case is not proved.
Note on Wife: Mary Colburn
I have decided to accept this marriage as the correct one, i.e. that the James Attfield who married Mary Colburn in 1785 is identical to James Attfield the victualler of Farnham, but there are other possibilities and the case is not proven.
