In consequence of the death of Mr. [sic.] S. Attfield of Farnham, the Trustees beg that all persons who are endebted to the Estate of S. and C. Attfield are requested to discharge the same forthwith. All persons having any claim on the above Firm will send in their accounts, that the same may be examined and discharged.

C. Attfield avails himself of the earliest opportunity to acquaint his friends and the public generally, the Old Established Business will, in future, be carried on by him on the same premises, commencing from the First day of January 1839, when C.A. hopes, by prompt attention to the Malting Business, as well as the Corn, Seed, Hop and Coal Trade, to ensure a continuance of that patronage which has been so liberally bestowed on the family for the last thirty-five years. Farnham, December 15th, 1838.

Will of Charles Attfield of West Street, Farnham, Surrey, merchant and hop planter, 16 May 1873, to my dear wife Henrietta the consumable household goods and such parts as she shall select of the household goods and effects not hereinbefore bequeathed, and after her decease to be disposed of as part of the residue of my personal estate, executors to make inventory of such goods; real estate and residue of personal estate to my son Ernest Attfield and my daughter Henrietta Attfield (execs) in trust to sell the real and leasehold estates and invest the monies arising and permit my said wife to receive the annual income of said monies or stocks, funds, etc, and after her death in trust for my children the said Henrietta Attfield, Mary Anne Attfield, Charles Attfield, Emma Hart Attfield, and the said Ernest Attfield to be divided equally among them, the shares of my said daughters Henrietta, Mary Ann and Emma Hart Attfield to be enjoyed be her as her separate estate without control or interference of present or any future husband.
