L G ATTFIELD. Private, 24th London Regt. (the Queen's). He was mobilised in August 1914, and in the following year was drafted to the Western Front. Owing to an injury which he sustained he was employed at the Base for a time. He afterwards volunteered for duty as stretcher-bearer and rejoined his battalion, and was engaged in the Battles of Ypres and the Somme. He also took part in the Retreat and Advance of 1918, and was wounded. He returned home and was demobilised in March 1919, and holds the 1914-15 Star, General Service and Victory Medals. 11, King Edward Street, Lambeth, S.E.1.
