Note on Husband: Nathaniel Attfield

Referred to as "The Elder" in will of John Lampard of Farnham, 1734. Moved from Woking to Farnham around 1700 but retained property in Woking until 1714.

 

I give and devise to Nathaniel Atfield the Elder of Badshot aforesaid and to his heirs for ever all that piece or parcel of Land called or known by the name of High Hurlands containing by estimation Five acres or thereabouts be the same more or less And also all that piece or parcel of Arable Land called or known by the name of Dogfludd Field containing by Estimation Six Acres or thereabouts be the same more or less And also all that piece or parcel of Land or Hopground called Little Hook or by whatsoever other Name or Names the said Premises any or either of them are called or known together with the Stock of Poles on the said parcel of Hopground and the Crop now growing thereupon Subject nevertheless to the payment of one hundred pounds to be equally divided between James the Son and Jane and Mary the daughters of the said Nathaniel Atfield all which said Lands and premises are situate and lying within the parish and Manor of Farnham aforesaid and which together with all my other Copyhold Estates therein I have Surrendered to the use of my last Will according to the Custom of the said Manor
